Your child’s root chakra.

Let's talk about early childhood and chakras ☕️

The word "chakra" comes from Sanskrit and means "wheel" or "cycle". The Chakras are spinning spheres of energy that move life force through the body, located along the spine, from the base to the crown of the head.

The first chakra, the root or muladhara is located at the very base of your spine. It' represents your sense of safety in this world, parental bonds and ancestry and what grounds you on earth.

The root chakra is developed from womb to age seven.

This is the malleable age where confidence is learned. You are your child's first friend and therefore, shape their ability to connect to others and react to situations.

On a deeper level, in Magical Beginnings, Enchanted Lives, Deepak Chopra says your baby has their own unique nervous system and can feel everything you feel. They can have their own fight-or-flight reaction to the situation. Scientifically, they're flooded with stress hormones like cortisol. Energetically, it's possible they can build a tendency to distrust themselves and the world without even being born yet.

By moving and meditating throughout your pregnancy and into your children's formative years, you foster how they will orient themselves in the world for their whole lifetime. No pressure, right?!

What you see, you become.

Do you feel yourself being scattered, angry or reactive in your pregnancy?

Practicing prenatal yoga throughout your pregnancy and into your children’s formative years, will help you sleep better, stress less and feel more supported….which fosters how your children will orient themselves in the world for their whole lifetime.

What you see, you become.

You’ll be a more present parent.

You’ll learn to stop unconsciously holding your breath.

You’ll raise better humans.

A more balanced you is a more balanced family.

That said, we're human. We aren't going to be perfect. We are going to react, experience deep emotions, and say and do the wrong things. The point is-- we should strive to get 1% better each day. Yoga and exercise, meditation, reiki, and breath work can help with that.

When you work 1:1 with me for in-person prenatal yoga, you receive reiki energy healing at the end of each session to balance your chakras, the main one in pregnancy being the sacral. Book a call and let’s chat.
